Wisconsin Linden Wood Block To Become Statue of Saint Benedict of Nursia!

In preparation for the 150th Anniversary celebration of the founding of Saint Benedict's Preparatory School in Newark, New Jersey set for April of 2018, I volunteered to carve a commemorative statue of Saint Benedict of Nursia. The three foot statue will be the largest piece I've worked on to date in my fourteen years of wood carving.

Initial work began this week on the St. Benedict's statue for the 150th Anniversary of the founding of Saint Benedict's Prep School in Newark, NJ.
